What is Family and Systemic Psychotherapy?

Family therapy, also known as systemic psychotherapy, is a powerful approach that focuses on understanding and improving the dynamics within a family system. It recognises that each member of the family influences and is influenced by the others, and that challenges within one member can impact the entire family.

When traditional services haven’t worked — and the family system feels too complex to hold — we step in.

Our commissioned packages are designed for professionals, agencies, and teams who need to refer families for specialist systemic support. We work with the family directly, while offering insight, updates, and collaboration with the professionals involved.

🔹 Individual psychotherapy for young person - providing young person an additional safe space to work through their feelings and make sense of their experiences

🔹 Optional Reflective Practice – available for staff involved in complex family care
Our approach
The SA²F²E Model is a systemically-led, trauma-informed framework designed to support care-experienced children, families, and the professionals around them. Blending family therapy, psychology, trauma recovery, child development psychoanalysis and emotional development, it uses six key pillars — Safe, Attachment, Acceptance, Family Functioning, Flexibility, and Emotional Literacy — to restore connection, reduce crisis behaviours, and build lasting resilience within families.
