My Background
Family & Systemic Psychotherapist | Strategic Consultancy to Care & Crisis Teams | Founder, Rainbow Parenting Practice | Leading systemic healing for care experienced children, young people and their families & professionals who serve them
I support families and those in crisis — and the professionals who serve them.

With over 30 years of frontline experience across clinical, therapeutic, leadership, and consultative roles, I specialise in working with high-risk, high-complexity family dynamics — often where traditional support has failed.

My background spans direct therapy, multi-agency coordination, safeguarding, service design, and professional training.
I’ve supported:
-
Child-to-parent aggression and family violence
-
Parental trauma, mental health, and substance use
-
Teenagers involved in gang culture, sexual exploitation, or organised crime
-
Children returning from foster or residential placements
-
Family reunification and edge-of-care interventions
-
Emotional shutdown, self-harm, and high-risk adolescent behaviour
-
School refusal, placement breakdowns, and multi-agency complexity
-
Neurodivergent families navigating autism, ADHD, and co-occurring needs
-
Families facing legal escalation, safeguarding, or social care thresholds
-
Complex trauma, abuse, and neglect

As a systemic family therapist, I don’t just work with individuals. I help families understand the relational patterns they’re living inside — and I support professionals to see the system behind the behaviour.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of therapy, systems, and strategy.

I support:

-
Parents and carers navigating extreme behaviour, shutdown, or fractured family dynamics
-
Residential teams, educators, and therapeutic professionals holding high-risk cases and unresolved trauma
-
Leaders and service managers making high-stakes decisions under immense pressure

I hold an MSc in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy, and advanced training in psychoanalytic observation, child development, and psychological studies. I’ve led multisystemic intervention programmes, developed therapeutic tools used across services, and built a family intervention method that changes what feels unchangeable.

My approach is relational, trauma-aware, and deeply systemic. I support families, carers, and professionals to move from crisis to clarity — with a focus on safety, repair, and long-term relational change.

Therapeutic Work
If you’re a parent, caregiver, or young person seeking family therapy, I offer a structured, compassionate space to explore what’s not working — and rebuild from there. Together, we’ll uncover what’s underneath the behaviour, reduce emotional reactivity, and restore a sense of trust and connection.

Consultative and training
If you’re a professional holding complex cases — or a service supporting families at risk — I offer strategic consultation, training, and systems-level insight to support your teams. This includes direct case consultation, reflective practice, staff training, and service development input across care, health, and education.

Whether you're a parent who’s tried everything, a professional supporting a stuck system, or a service leader ready to embed therapeutic strategy into frontline practice — I’m here to help.
