For Professionals & Services

Systemic Consultation, Training & Commissioned Work

Rainbow Family Therapy works alongside professionals, teams, and organisations supporting children, young people, adults, and families whose needs exceed standard interventions.

My role is not to replace existing services — but to strengthen professional thinking, reduce fragmentation, and support sustainable outcomes for families and systems.

How I Work with Professionals

I offer systemic, psychoanalytically informed consultation and training to professionals who are holding complex relational work — often under significant pressure, scrutiny, and emotional load.

My work helps professionals:

  • Think systemically rather than reactively

  • Understand behaviour in relational, developmental, and context

  • Reduce escalation, burnout, and repeated placement breakdowns

  • Move from managing risk to supporting relational healing

This is reflective, reflexive rigorous work — grounded in real-world practice, not theory alone.

  • High-conflict families

  • Care-experienced children and young people

  • Repeated placement breakdowns

  • Making sense of the whole system (family, care network, professionals)

  • Identifying unseen relational patterns and emotional drivers

  • Supporting clear, ethical, and psychologically safe interventions

Available as:

  • Hourly consultation

  • Ongoing case consultation

  • Multi-disciplinary reflective spaces

Please contact us if you would like to discuss and explore systemic consultation and the needs of your service.

Systemic Training for Organisations & Services

I deliver bespoke systemic training for professionals working across:

  • Residential care

  • Fostering and adoption services

  • Education and inclusion teams

  • Social work and safeguarding services

  • Mental health and allied health professionals

Core Training Programme:

Seeing the Whole Story: A Systemic Approach to Supporting Care-Experienced Children, Young People, and Families

Seeing the Whole Story changes the culture of care from the inside out. Teams move beyond surface behaviour management to build meaningful, healing relationships with young people — leading to greater placement stability and long-term emotional resilience. At the same time, staff are supported to work reflexively and relationally, reducing burnout, increasing retention, and restoring a sense of purpose and possibility in their roles. When healing becomes a shared practice, everyone grows.

This training supports professionals to:

  • Understand behaviour as relational communication

  • Work with trauma and attachment without pathologising

  • Recognise the impact of professional systems on children and families

  • Become active participants in relational healing — not just observers

Training is available as:

  • 1-day or 3-day programmes

  • Team-based or multi-agency formats

  • Tailored to service context and challenges

Commissioned Specialist Support for care experienced children, young people and their families

We understand the challenges your team faces when working with care-experienced children, high-risk families, and adolescents on the edge of breakdown.

When traditional services haven’t worked — and the family system feels too complex to hold — we step in.

Our commissioned packages are designed for professionals, agencies, and teams who need to refer families for specialist systemic support. We work with the family directly, while offering insight, updates, and collaboration with the professionals involved.

What’s Included in the Package

🔹 Systemic Family Support – direct therapeutic parenting input and crisis stabilisation

🔹 Individual psychotherapy for young person - providing young person an additional  safe space to work through their feelings and make sense of their experiences
🔹 Case Consultation & Progress Reports – collaborative working with the commissioning team
🔹 Psychoeducation for Parents – grounded in family systems, behavioural science, and attachment
🔹 Optional Reflective Practice – available for staff involved in complex family care

Our approach

The SA³F²E Framework is a systemically-led framework designed to support care-experienced children, families, and the professionals around them. Blending family therapy, psychology, trauma recovery, child development psychoanalysis and emotional development, it uses six key pillars — Safe, Attachment, Acceptance, Family Functioning, Flexibility, and Emotional Literacy — to restore connection, reduce crisis behaviours, and build lasting resilience within families.

Who Commissions Us

  • Local authorities seeking additional family support

  • Residential or educational teams facing family disengagement

  • Social workers and safeguarding leads managing repeated breakdown

  • Agencies supporting foster carers, adoption or kinship families in crisis

Why Professionals Choose Us

Because your team is already doing everything it can.
Because the system doesn’t have the right container for these cases.
Because this family needs more than a referral — they need a reset.

We offer that reset — delivered with clinical integrity, system-wide perspective, and the clarity to move forward.
