Family and Systmeic Psychotherapist. UKCP

Has something has broken down in your family and you are not sure how to repair it?

Family therapy creates the space to understand what is really happening — and begin to change it.

We offer Family and Systemic Psychotherapy for families navigating some of life's most difficult moments — teenagers in crisis, relationship breakdown, years of unspoken pain, loss, and the patterns that keep families stuck in the same painful place.

Whatever has brought you here, you do not have to navigate it alone.

How Family Therapy Works

Family and Systemic Psychotherapy works with the relationships between family members — not just one person in isolation. Most problems that feel individual are actually relational.

Sessions are tailored entirely to your family. There is no standard curriculum, no pressure, and no judgement — just a skilled and safe space to begin understanding what is really happening.

Families come to me at all kinds of moments. Some are in the middle of a crisis. Some have been carrying something painful for a long time, quietly holding it together. Some can't quite name what's wrong — only that something is, and it's time to understand it.

Wherever you are, it's okay to be here. You don't need to have the right words for it yet.

You may recognise yourselves in some of this:

  • Your teenager's behaviour has become frightening — aggression, self-harm, school refusal, or a complete shutdown

  • Your family has been through something traumatic, and the relationships between you are fraying under the weight of it

  • Communication has broken down — conversations that end in shouting, silence, or someone leaving the room

  • You feel like you've lost your relationship with your child, your partner, or the family you used to have

  • You've tried individual therapy, and something still isn't shifting

  • A family member has a diagnosis — ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety — and you're not sure how to support them, or each other

  • There are things in your family that have never been spoken about, and they seem to be affecting everything

  • You simply know something needs to change, and you don't know where to start

It's important to know this: family therapy is never about finding fault or assigning blame. It's about creating a safe space where every member of your family can finally be heard — and where real, lasting change becomes possible.
